IELTS Program: (Photo of Bhrati Madam and Aarti Madam) Everyone is aware of the importance and role of the English Language in Higher Education. Hence every Child from Grade I to XII has one IELTS class everyday. Every Friday, IELTS test is taken to band the students in their acquisition of English as per international standards. We pride in children directly being able to ace the IELTS test right after school. •Students practice 4 language skills including listening, reading, writing and speaking. •Students learn advanced English vocabulary and practical English that students can actually use in real life, which will allow them to simultaneously enhance their English skills to maximize their IELTS score. •This program provides up to date information on common IELTS topics and tips which match the syllabus in the coursebook. •Students are exposed to readings, documentaries and previous exams which is essential for the speaking and writing sections of the exam and will provide students with discussion points and develop critical thinking IELTS - PUBLIC SPEAKING FOR STUDENTS No matter how many qualities a child possesses, they’re never recognized if they aren’t presented well. We are bringing a new zeal to the culture of Public Speaking for students. By perfecting our students’ public speaking skills, St.John’s International School is building leaders of the next generation. OUR PROGRAMME OF PUBLIC SPEAKING FOR STUDENTS INCLUDES : Script Narrations Small Talks Poetry Recitation Mirror sessions Personality Grooming Vocabulary Enhancement Conversational Skill-building These activities initially focus on familiarizing a child step by step to public speaking, later on engaging them in the same rigorous practice. For every grade, we have a specially prepared curriculum as well as weekly and monthly assessments. IETLS - EARLY YEARS PROGRAM (EYP) - PUBLIC SPEAKING The assessments for Grade Prep 1 to 3 students include analyzing their ‘Comprehension’ and ‘Response’ to understand whether the child can understand and act on questions portrayed to him/her. Similarly, for Grades I, II & III, two additional areas of analysis are added. The overall focus of the program includes the following: Comprehension Response Grammar Presentation Skills These assessments help us analyze how much a child can understand how he/she is responding. After a proper analysis of each child, they are provided with an appropriate curriculum schedule. IETLS - PRIMARY -PUBLIC SPEAKING We groom the students to be the best versions of themselves and develop a personality that leaves a mark wherever they go. Assessments for Primary Grades of IV & V are based on the following parameters: Comprehension Grammar Presentation Fluency Through this public speaking for students curriculum, we aim to engrave in each one of them, self-confidence, a clear sense of grammar and pronunciation, and an advanced level of conversational skills.
